CAMP DATES SUMMER 2026: 14th of June – 9th of August

Welcome to Scout Camp at Vässarö!

Vässarö offers a fantastic camp experience for scout troops in a beautiful archipelago setting. Here you’ll stay in your own tents on our camp meadows, cook your own meals, and take part in exciting activities both on land and at sea.

Booking Dates

The summer season with full service and activities runs from June 14 – August 9.
Your troop is also welcome June 7–14 and August 9–16, but during these periods staffing is limited and we are unable to offer big-boat sailing.

Accommodation and Equipment

  • Your own camp on the meadows – each scout troop stays in their own tents on an assigned campsite.

  • Transport of camp gear – your equipment will be transported to the campsite by our tractors.

  • Water and toilets – available near every campsite.

  • Food and cooking – ingredients are collected from the camp store and prepared at your own campsite.

  • Gas – available for purchase on the island, so please leave your own gas cylinders at home.

  • Need tents? – a limited number of tents are available for rent if needed.

  • Support for leaders – less experienced leaders can receive on-site guidance and support to ensure a safe and enjoyable camp experience.

Activities and Program

Vässarö offers a wide range of activities for all ages – from paddling and sailing to exciting land adventures such as Trapperspåret (the Trapper Trail).

Tips Before Making Your Booking

  • Plan your week early – popular weeks fill up quickly, especially during the peak season (weeks 30–32).

  • Consider your program needs – if you want more flexibility or extra sailing sessions, choose one of the quieter weeks (weeks 27–29 or week 33).

  • Estimate your group size – knowing approximately how many participants and leaders you’ll bring helps us allocate the right campsite.

  • Check your equipment – make sure your troop has the necessary tents, cooking gear, and other camp equipment. A limited number of tents are available for rent if needed.

  • Think about transportation – plan your arrival and departure via Strömsviken harbor in good time and include the boat transport fee in your budget.

  • Stay updated – keep an eye on our website for the latest information about activities, booking updates, and travel instructions.
